Nail Swatch ~ Sally Girl TTFN

A swatch of one of the Sally Girl nail polishes I picked up the other day..

Sally Girl TTFN
It rained really hard a couple of nights ago and the next day all the roads were flooded.  My work closed down for the day so I was stuck at home with no where to go and nothing to do so I decided to paint my nails.

I added a little nail sticker of four stars on both of my thumb nails.  These stickers came in a set along with the glitter and three other Art Deco polishes.

I've never had this color on my nails before, I typically stick with the nudes, pinks and purples.  I painted it at first and felt that it was too plain so I added some glitter at the bottom.  I really liked the way it turned out in the end :)

You can see how tiny the bottle really is but since I can't wear this type of color at work it's the perfect size for me since I won't be using it much.

HAUL ~ Sally's Beauty Supply, MAC, Lush

Been doing a lot of small random hauls lately..

Sally's Beauty Supply

This was the first time I've ever been to a Sally's beauty supply.  I've heard a lot about this store on different makeup websites and truthfully I was expecting a bigger store.  The products inside were pretty much everything anyone involved in the 'beauty-related' industry would need.  I passed by most of it but then ended up grabbing a bunch of the Sally Girl products because they were only $0.99 each. I ended up only spending $10.

TTFN, It's So Me, Genie

These are mini nail polishes.  I want to start getting mini nail polishes cause i never seem to finish a single bottle of nail polish!  I picked out these three colors because I thought they were pretty and they stood out to me the most.  I don't have any nail polish like the first one so I thought a small bottle would be the perfect way to try the color out.  I'm thinking about going back and picking up a few more.

Orange Crush, Chocolate, Beige, Onyx

These eyeshadows I just grabbed basically because they were cheap haha.  I figured that for the cheap price I could keep these in my everyday makeup bag to do a quick look if I wanted to.  The four colors I picked out were basic everyday neutral colors.   I've been actually using these almost everyday at work and I'm in LOVE! The four together make the prettiest everyday look combo and they last all day on my eyes.  Usually my lid color will crease and the other shadows would fade but these last till the end of my work day without fading or creasing.  I do also use the Urban Decay Primer Potion and my MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre but when I use that with other eye shadows they would still crease at the end of the day... not these! I don't really know why but I'm hooked! I wanna go back and grab more :)

Orly Nail Lacquer Thinner

This I picked up because I have a lot of nail polishes that I rarely use so they tend to get really old and thick.  This will thin out my nail polishes making them like new.

MAC

MAC Mineralize Charged Water Cleanser

I also stopped by MAC because I was running out of my Cleanse Off Oil and needed more.  They didn't have any in stock so they lady told me about this Mineralize Charged Water Cleanser.  She said it's practically the same as the Cleanse Off Oil but this one is water based.  I decided to get it because she said that this is also great if you make a mistake you can just put this on a q-tip and clean up the mistake. You don't need to rinse this off because it's water based.  I've been using it and I like it but I think I'm gonna go back and get the Cleanse Off Oil as well.  I don't like the fact that you need a cotton bud to use this remover and I feel like I use twice as much product to remove my makeup.  I'll probably use this to just clean up mistakes when putting on my makeup.

Lashes #44, #7

These lashes I didn't get at the MAC store but from an group on fb that allows people from my old University to sell stuff.  A girl posted these lashes for $5 each and I couldn't pass up the deal.

LUSH

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub

I also stopped by LUSH one day because I was in dire need of my face wash.  I picked up a whole bunch of stuff including some herbalism, dark angels, coal face, soak and float shampoo bar and this lip scrub.  I bought it once for a friend and she couldn't stop raving about it so I knew I had to get it one day.

HAUL ~ Ulta goodies

I'm starting to really like ordering from Ulta.com because they always have BOGO deals.  I also like the mix of cosmetics they sell...

I wish we had one here in Hawaii :(

Here's what I got..

Real Technique Brushes: Blush Brush, Travel Essential Kit
I bought the real techniques stippling brush when I first ordered from Ulta and I wanted to try more.  The three on the right were sold together as the Travel Essential Kit and the one on the right was an individual brush the Blush Brush.  I've been using these brushes and I am in LOVE!  They are sooo soft and feel so nice on the face.  The Travel Essential kit came with the brushes and the brush holder.  I haven't tried the foundation brush but I mainly wanted the kit for the other two brushes.  The multi task brush is great for an overall powder brush and the domed shadow brush is great for eyeshadows but I wanna try the brush for concealer (that how I see the pixiwoo girls using it).  The blush brush is kinda big but I like that it sweeps nicely across my cheeks.  I think I may end up ordering the individual Powder brush :)

Color Tattoo: Painted Purple, Edgy Emerald, Fierce & Tangy
These color tattoos have such great reviews that I've just been waiting for the right time to pick some up.  They were on sale for 'buy two get one free' so I decided that it was the perfect time to try some out.  Since I own so many of MAC's paint pots I wanted to pick colors that I didn't already have and that's why I got these three bright colors.  I haven't had an opportunity to really test these out but I like how bright and vibrant they are.  I wanna pick up three more: Too Cool, Bad to the Bronze, Bold Gold because these are probably colors I'd reach for more and be able to really see how well these color tattoos hold up.

Maybelline Lots of Lashes Mascara
Maybelline Lots of Lashes mascara has become my new favorite mascara of all time.  They make my lashes looks so full, separated, long and just overall amazing.  So many people ask me if I'm wearing false lashes when I use this mascara.  Since the whole Maybelline line was on sale for 'buy two get one free' I decided to get three backups.  The one I have is starting to dry out and so I needed a new one anyways.  All of my friends are hooked on this mascara so I might end up giving one or two away to them.  This mascara even beats my Dior Blackout mascara because the tube lasts twice as long (maybe longer) it's a fourth of the price and the brush really separates each individual lash to give you a fuller look.  The only thing I don't like is that this isn't waterproof but it holds up pretty well throughout the day.

Revlon Lip Butter:  Brown Sugar, Fig Jam, Red Velvet
Revlon was also on sale as well so I picked up the lip butters on a whim.  I heard they had a nice formula and wanted to try them out.  They had the same 'buy two get one free' sale so I picked up three.  They go on pretty sheer and I checked out swatches on line before I picked so I'm pretty happy with the ones I got.  They are nice, but I still prefer my MAC Sheen Supreme lipstick formula better.

HAUL ~ The Cosmetic Company Store..

A couple of weeks ago I went on a little vacay to...

:)

My really good friend's sister was in the national cheerleading competition held there every year so we went to support her (and while we were there we figured we might as well check out the parks too ;P )

We also rented a car so we could go shopping and of course we stopped here...

:) :) :)

We don't have an very big outlet place here in hawaii, and I actually really wanted to go here for one reason: The Cosmetic Company Store...

Before going to Florida I searched online for one of these stores near where we were going to be.  If you go on makeup websites they usually refer to these stores as a CCO or Cosmetic Company Outlet.  It's a store that sells makeup at a discount and yes, they have MAC there :) They actually sell the limited edition items from older collections at a discounted price.  I've always wanted to go check one of these stores out and I finally had the opportunity to.

A very happy me outside the store with my long receipt, hand full of swatches and my bag full of goodies :)

The store was really small and they had all sorts of different brands there (at a discount as well) but I was mainly interested in the MAC items.  There was one shelf full of just MAC but I also found MAC products randomly throughout the store.

I ended up making a pretty big haul, but I was saving for it and I figured that I probably won't be shopping at another store like this for a while so I might as well take advantage of it.

The goods

here's individual pics of what I got..

Eyeshadows:
Sweetjoy, Vibrant Grape, Night Manoeuvres, Lucky Green
Meet The Fleet, Give Me Liberty of London, Swell Baby, Aqua

I was surprised to see that they had some things from some pretty old collections.  I picked up the eyeshadows that caught my eye, some I've been wanting for ages and some I thought would be  nice addition to my collection cause I didn't have anything similar.  These were about $10 so they were cheaper than actually buying just the pro pan version of the eyeshadows.  There's an eyeshadow from the MAC Venomous Villans collection, two from MAC Style Warriors collection, one from MAC Naughty Nauticals collection, two from MAC Surf Baby collection and two from MAC Fashion Flower collection.

Mega Metal Eyeshadow:  Tweet Me
I swatched this eyeshadow and loved it.  It is from the MAC Mega Metal collection and so the shadow is bigger than the normal eyeshadows.  It's a pretty peachy gold, the kind of color I love to wear on the lid.  I have colors like this but everytime I see it I have this uncontrollable need to buy it :) It's very similar to MAC shadows like Gleam and Expensive Pink.

Paint Pot:  Let Me Pop
I have no idea when this paint pot came out in a collection but it's another one of those pretty peachy gold colors that I seem to always need.  It's very similar to MAC's Rubenesque paint pot but this one pulls more on the peach side where as Rubenesque pulls more of the gold.  This one also has chunky glitter in it and Rubenesque doesn't.

MAC #130 Brush
This brush first came out a while ago but has since been re-released a couple more times.  Every time I saw it I wanted to buy it but just couldn't bring myself to spend the amount on the price tag.  I quickly grabbed it when I saw that this store had it and at a discounted price :)

MAC #187, MAC #130, Real Techniques Stippling Brush, Sigma F80
It's really tiny for a face brush so I took pics of it next to similar brushes just to show how small it actually is.

Kissable Lipcolour:  Super
I love my nude lip colors and when I saw this I figured I'd give it a try.  I've never tried a Kissable Lipcolour before but I just couldn't pass up such a wonderful nude color.  It's actually like a lipstick in a lipgloss form and goes on more like a cream.

MAC Lipglass, MAC Dazzleglass, MAC Kissable Lipcolour
The shape and size of this lipcolour is longer and skinnier than the normal MAC glosses as you can tell by the picture.

This has been the most used item out of everything I got.  I didn't anticipate how much I'd love this lipcolour.  The color is a perfect nude for me and because it's not a glossy lipcolour it wears really nicely on my lips.  Sometimes I actually add a little gloss over this to give my lips a little more shine.

I wish a bought a backup of this lipcolour :(

Nail Polish: Hangin' Loose
This is just another nude nail polish to add to my collection.  I swatched in on my nails in the store and fell in love with the pretty nude color it is.  There is also a slight shimmer in it which adds to the pretty-ness :)

Perfume: Pinkaura
This perfume was also released a few times and every time I smelt it I wanted it.  So when i saw it on the shelf I grabbed it.  It has more of a flowery smell to it which I like but nothing can beat my all-time favorite perfume: MAC Turquatic.

Eye Kohl:  I Get No Kick, Chromagraphic Pencil: NW25/NC30
These two pencils I grabbed to wear on my waterline.  They are supposed to open your eyes and make them appear bigger when you use it on your waterline.  'I Get No Kick' has shimmer in it and the chromagraphic pencil is a nice matte beige.  I'm really liking 'I Get No Kick' lately and haven't really used the chromagraphic pencil

That's pretty much everything!

I also picked up a couple of things for the makeup junkie bestie and for my mom but didn't get a chance to take pics of it.

I hope I can go back to another Cosmetic Company Store someday!
