HAUL ~ MASCARAS...

So I raved about my Diorshow Blackout mascara not long ago...

I loved it because..

*it was waterproof/smudgeproof

*held my curl

*made my lashes long and thick

*made people ask if I was wearing falsies :O

I was in heaven :)

BUT...

.....not long after it dried out :(

And I mean I had to scrape the barrel and all I got was a thick dried out formula!

For the price I paid for that mascara I was hoping it would last me longer than just one and half months!

I knew I needed to get a new mascara and remembered a MAC saleslady tell me that they had come out with a new mascara that would make my lashes look long and thick.  I didn't want to fork out the $24 for another Dior one so I thought that I would try that one out.

So I picked up the new MAC False Lashes mascara two weeks ago..

It was only a few bucks cheaper than the Dior one ($19) but cheaper is cheaper to me so I grabbed it anyway.  It's claim to fame is all in the name, "False Lashes", and for obvious reasons I had high hopes for this mascara.  I was expecting the false lashes that I get when I used the Diorshow Blackout mascara if not better.  But I had nothing even close to it! :( I was sooooo disappointed with this mascara. The packaging looks kinda cool I guess but that's about it.  I can't find my receipt either so I guess I'm stuck with it.  I'll keep using it and then B2M it when it dries out.  But i'm never buying this again!

So there I was with a dried out mascara and a crappy new one that I had to just suck it up and use everyday since I bought it and couldn't return it...

Then I see posts about the Sephora Friends and Family sale that's going on right now.  You enter your email and get a code for 20% on any one purchase between certain dates.  

I did the math and 20% would make my Diorshow just slightly cheaper than my MAC one and so I convinced myself that this was as good of a time as any to get my mascara again.

I ended up picking up the Diorshow Maximizer and Diorshow Blackout mascara.

I heard tons of good reviews on the Diorshow maximizer so I randomly threw it in since I wanted to get something else so I didn't have to pay for shipping.  I haven't tried it much to give my opinion on it, but I will once I get to play with it more.  

I'm so glad to have my Diorshow Blackout mascara back in my makeup bag.  I'm even getting the girls at work to love it as much as I do :D 

So I guess I have another month and a half to find me a cheaper version of this mascara..
